Mission Statement:
To encourage agriculture, education, commerce, industry, and patriotism.
The objective of the Wilson County Junior Fair Board is:
To enhance the volunteer leadership of the Wilson County Fair by the
addition of a youth component.
To further educate the public on agriculture in today’s society and organize events to accomplish set
goals.
To assist the Wilson County Fair Board with planning, organizing and implementing events during the week of the fair and throughout
the year.

The Duties and Responsibilities of the Junior Fair Board are:
To provide leadership opportunities within the group by electing
officers of the JFB, running effective meetings and using correct parliamentary procedures, etc.
To meet regularly to plan and organize
events for the Wilson County Fair that will enhance the public’s image of agriculture.
To assisting with existing youth events throughout
the week of the Fair and initiate new programs.
To design, implement and manage specific events.
To offer practical leadership
experience that develops teamwork and benefits the Fair and the youth.
